Body, Mind & Science

IN-PERSON PUBLIC TALK | KALPHA BHADRA KADAMPA BUDDHIST CENTRE IN CRAIG-Y-DON

With Buddhist monk & Resident Teacher Kelsang Jangchub

Saturday 16 October | 10.00 – 11.15 am

A talk exploring the relationship and nature of our body and mind.

If someone where to ask us what is the nature of our mind and how our mind and body are related, we likely would not be able to give a clear and logical explanation which corresponds with our experience. Thinking carefully, contemplating and meditating on this topic leads to very helpful insights which benefit us and help us make the most of our human life.

“The essential point of understanding the mind is that liberation from suffering cannot be found outside the mind. Permanent liberation can be found only by purifying the mind. Therefore, if we want to become free from problems and attain lasting peace and happiness we need to increase our knowledge and understanding of the mind.”
