Our regular classes offer a peaceful space to learn meditation and explore how Buddhist wisdom can bring clarity, compassion and happiness into daily life. Each class includes a short guided meditation, a talk, and time for reflection or discussion.
No previous experience is needed—simply come as you are.

Silent Meditation
When: Mondays 12.15 - 1.00pm
Level: For people with at least some familiarity with meditation
Price: Free of charge
This class is intended for those who have some familiarity with meditation and wish to deepen their concentration.

Simply Meditate
When: Tuesdays 11am - 12.30pm
The cafe is open from 11am.
The class is 12 – 12:30pm
Level: Suitable for everyone especially beginners

The ideal way to learn to meditate. The 30-minute classes are structured to fit into busy modern life.

Free guided meditation
When: Tuesday 7.45 - 8.30pm
Level: Suitable for beginners.
Price: Free of charge
The class will begin with a short introduction followed by a guided meditation.

Evening Meditation Class
When: Wednesdays 7.00 – 8.30pm
Price: £7.50 per class, or £36 for the six week series. Free for Centre Card holders.
These classes introduce the art of meditation and offer advice on how to apply Buddha’s teachings to solve our daily problems. The classes begin with a relaxing guided meditation, followed by an inspiring and practical talk and then another guided meditation. Finally there will be time for questions and discussion.

Prayers for World Peace
When: Sundays 10 -10.45am
Price: Free of charge
Everyone wants to see world peace, but without first developing inner peace, outer peace is impossible. Join us for Prayers for World Peace, which includes a relaxing breathing meditation, a short teaching on growing our inner peace and beautiful chanted prayers with space for silent meditation.

Foundation Programme
When: Thursdays 7 -9pm
Price: You need to have a full Centre Card to attend these classes.
The Foundation Programme is designed for those who wish to study and practice Buddha's teachings more deeply, in a regular systematic way. These are not drop -in classes - you need to enrol in the programme.

Heart Jewel with guided Lamrim meditation
When: Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays 9.30 – 10.45am
Price: Free of charge
Level: Intermediate
These classes introduce the art of This practice is intended mainly for those with some familiarity with Kadampa teachings and want to develop a regular Lamrim meditation practice. The session begins with Liberating Prayer and then the teacher introduces the meditation.
What to Expect at a Class
Everyone is welcome to join our meditation classes. People attend for many reasons—some to find peace from stress or anxiety, others to deepen their understanding of meditation and Buddhist teachings, or simply to enjoy a friendly, like-minded community.
Each class includes guided meditations, a practical talk on applying Buddhist wisdom to daily life, and time for reflection or questions. No previous experience is needed.
Classes are self-contained, so you can come to any session that suits you (except the Foundation Programme, which requires enrolment). After each class, the teacher is available for a chat or to answer questions.
What to Wear
You don’t need any special clothing. All classes are seated on chairs, with cushions available for those who prefer. Most people find it comfortable to wear loose-fitting clothes that allow easy breathing and relaxation.
Centre Card Membership
There are two ways to attend classes: pay-as-you-go or through a Centre Card membership.
Pay-as-you-go lets you pay for each class individually. You can also book a series of classes at a discounted price.. You can pay in cash or card when you get here, or book in advance via the links on the website.
If you attend regularly, the Centre Card is the most economical option. Membership starts from £20 per month, with three levels depending on how often you attend. There’s no fixed commitment—you can change or cancel anytime.
All fees and memberships directly support the centre’s charitable activities, helping to keep meditation classes accessible to everyone.
