Resident Teacher

Kadam Mike Garside is the Resident Teacher at Kalpa Bhadra Kadampa Buddhist Centre. Kadam Mike has decades of experience within the New Kadampa Tradition and is well respected for his calm warm manner and clear explanations of Buddha’s teachings among them accessible to everyone. He has taught in meditation centres in both UK and Spain, including being Resident Teacher at KMC Wales in Swansea. He has engaged in long retreat with Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and has contributed to the editing of many of Geshe-la’s books.

Laura  Groves studied and practised extensively within the New Kadampa Tradition prior to her family’s recent move from USA to North Wales.  She is a powerful teacher who is able to convey the profundity and practicality of Buddha’s teachings in a clear and joyful manner.

Angie Roberts  is a senior student at Kalpa Bhadra Centre who is known for her warmth and her ability to communicate the practical relevance of Buddhist teachings and meditation to our everyday lives.

Bill Wells  has been a student of Buddhism for many decades. His faithful, clear teaching is so understandable and engaging that he is highly regarded by all who listen. He exemplifies the life of a senior lay Kadampa Buddhist, offering excellent advice and guidance to all who ask.

Myke Evans, as a practitioner of Buddhist meditation for many years, Myke is able to convey its value with humour and clarity. He is a lifelong resident of North Wales, married with children and grandchildren, who relishes the many opportunities that daily life presents for putting Buddhist teachings into practice.
