General Spiritual Director

Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong is the General Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition and the Resident Teacher of Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre, the Mother Centre of the New Kadampa Tradition. Gen-la has been a dedicated disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for nearly 40 years and holds the lineages of his blessings in her heart.

She is recognised as a fully qualified Teacher of Sutra and Tantra, and in particular is qualified to bestow the blessings of the Highest Yoga Tantra practices of Heruka and Vajrayogini. She is an inspiring example of a modern Kadampa disciple who relies sincerely upon her Spiritual Guide in all her actions. Gen-la is greatly respected for the power and sincerity of her teachings and the warmth of her personality.

Deputy Spiritual Director

Gen-la Kelsang Jampa is the Deputy Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition and Resident Teacher at the International Kadampa Retreat Centre Grand Canyon. Gen-la Jampa is an internationally renowned, ordained Buddhist teacher. As a senior NKT teacher, Gen-la Jampa has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for many years, and under Geshe-la’s guidance has taught at many centres and events around the world. Gen-la is well-loved for his clear and inspiring teachings and his ability to touch people’s hearts through his sincerity and loving kindness.

National Spiritual Director

Kadam Bridget Heyes,  is the NKT National Spiritual Director for the UK and the Resident Teacher at Nagarjuna Kadampa Meditation Centre in Northamptonshire. Kadam Bridget is a senior disciple of Geshe Kelsang who has been practising for over 30 years and is known for her powerful teachings, compassionate heart, and deep understanding of Buddha’s wisdom advice. Her teachings are exceptionally clear and she presents profound ideas in a way that is easy to practice and integrate into daily life. Kadam Bridget shows an inspiring example for everyone on the spiritual path. As well as regular courses at Nagarjuna KMC, Kadam Bridget also teaches at various National Dharma Celebrations throughout the year including the annual Welsh Dharma Celebration.

Resident Teacher

Kelsang Jangchub is the Resident Teacher at Kalpa Bhadra Kadampa Buddhist Centre and he teaches the main weekly class in Llandudno. He also teaches the in-depth Foundation Programme and many of the Centre’s weekend courses and retreats. Jangchub has been a sincere student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso student for over 30 years and has taught both overseas and in the UK. He is known for his good heart and dedication to helping people transform their lives through studying, meditation, and practising Buddha’s teachings. He teaches in an accessible way whilst assisting the students in understanding the deeper meaning of the teachings.
