From Me to We

Discovering our Interconnected World

Half day Retreat

Although we often see ourselves as separate individuals, our lives are deeply connected with countless others. Every aspect of our daily experience – from the food we eat and the clothes we wear, to the kindness we receive from family, friends and strangers, depends upon the efforts and contributions of others.

Buddhist teachings invite us to look more deeply at this reality and to recognize that our happiness and well-being are inseparable from the happiness and well-being of those around us. Through understanding our interconnected nature we can develop an open heart, greater compassion, and a genuine concern for the welfare of others.

This course is open to everyone, whether you are a practising Buddhist, exploring Buddhist philosophy, or interested in cultivating more kindness and connection in your life. Together we will explore practical methods for developing love, compassion, empathy and wisdom, and discover how these qualities can transform our relationships, our communities and our experiences of the world.

By learning to see beyond the illusion of separation, we can begin to appreciate the profound truth that we are all part of a larger family of all living beings. As our understanding grows, so does our capacity to contribute to a more peaceful, compassionate and harmonious world.
